Laura Caldwell, the creative force behind Left Coast Revivals, an online vintage shop, also hosts a captivating YouTube channel where she shares her expertise in sourcing and decorating with vintage and antique finds. Through her channel, Laura invites viewers to join her on exclusive Left Coast Travel Club trips, exploring some of the world’s oldest and largest flea markets in search of unique, one-of-a-kind treasures. Alongside her husband Jesse, Laura has hosted group trips to Italy, England, and Japan, with exciting new destinations including Paris, Belgium, Germany, and Austria planned for 2024. Join Laura on this extraordinary journey and discover the charm of vintage treasures from around the globe.

Itinerary

Day 1 Bienvenue à Paris!

Bienvenue à Paris! Get ready to kick off your adventure with a group coach transfer from the airport to the Pullman Montparnasse Hotel, with a friendly English-speaking guide joining us on the ride to introduce you to “The City of Light”.

Once we arrive, you’ll have some time to relax and refresh, perfect for shaking off any travel fatigue. In the evening, we’ll head to renowned restaurant Chez Edouard for a mouth-watering three-course welcome dinner, complete with two glasses of wine. Bon appétit!

Day 2 Versailles

Start with a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, fuelling up for an exciting day of exploration. After breakfast, our local guide will whisk us away for a full day tour of beautiful Versailles.

We’ll have plenty of time to marvel at the opulent Palace of Versailles and its breathtaking gardens. After soaking in the royal vibes, we’ll top off the day with a one-hour sightseeing cruise on the River Seine!

Day 3 Marché Aux De Saint-Ouen

Start your day with a delightful buffet breakfast to energize you for a day at one of the most famous vintage markets in the world, Marché Aux De Saint-Ouen.

Upon arrival at the market, you’ll be immersed in a vibrant world of history and culture. Stroll through the countless stalls brimming with antique furniture, vintage fashion, unique artworks, and eclectic collectibles. The market is a labyrinth of charming alleyways and hidden gems, where every turn promises a new discovery. Whether you’re a seasoned vintage shopper like Laura, or a curious explorer, there’s something for everyone.

Take breaks to chat with the friendly vendors who have fascinating stories about their wares, and don’t hesitate to haggle a bit – it’s all part of the fun and Laura will show you the way. This market day is not just a shopping trip but an unforgettable cultural experience!

Day 4 Marché aux Puces de la Porte de Vanves

After breakfast, we’ll hop on a coach and head to the enchanting Marché aux Puces at Porte de Vanves. This bustling market, known for its eclectic mix of antiques and vintage treasures, invites you to explore its myriad stalls filled with retro fashion, charming home décor, and rare collectibles.

After a morning of treasure hunting, enjoy a delicious three-course lunch at Le Bistro Marguerite in Le Marais. Savor classic French cuisine in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere before our local English-speaking guide leads us on a walking tour to the vibrant Marché des Enfants Rouges. Discover this historic food market’s colorful stalls and gourmet delights, from freshly baked breads to exotic spices, immersing yourself in its lively ambiance.

After returning to the hotel, our evening is free, leaving you time to relax and reflect on a day filled with unique finds and rich Parisian culture.

Day 5 Reims & Champagne

We’ll start today with an early breakfast at the hotel, before jumping on a coach with our local guide for an adventure to Reims and the Champagne region. Our first stop is the stunning and iconic Notre Dame Cathedral in Reims, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its Gothic architecture and royal history.

Next, enjoy a three-course lunch at the delicious Champagne Pascal Lallement, where you can savor local cuisine and exquisite champagnes amidst picturesque vineyard views.

In the afternoon, take a scenic train ride through the vineyards, followed by a guided tour and tasting at Champagne Pascal Lallement. We’ll return to the hotel in the evening, ending the day with the sparkling essence of Champagne lingering in your memories.

Day 6 Musee d'Orsay, Seine Dinner Cruise

Today you will have a leisurely morning to explore the beautiful city of Paris at your own pace.

After lunch, we’ll jump on the Metro and head to the renowned Musée d’Orsay with tickets provided for an afternoon of art and culture. Your local English-speaking guide will take you on an insightful tour through this former railway station turned art museum, home to an extensive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces. Marvel at works by Monet, Van Gogh, Degas, and many others as you wander through the beautifully curated exhibits.

As the afternoon transitions into evening, return to your hotel to freshen up and get ready for a memorable night, with a special farewell dinner cruise on the River Seine. Glide past Paris’s iconic landmarks illuminated against the night sky, and savor a lovely gourmet dinner on board as you soak in the festive atmosphere.

This magical cruise is the perfect way to bid adieu to the City of Light, creating lasting memories of your time in Paris.

Optional activity – Vintage shopping with your host Laura at some of her favorite small Parisian neighborhood Vide Greniers & Brocantes! (Neighborhood garage sales & secondhand shops!) or enjoy a leisurely morning on your own in Paris!

Day 7 Adieu Paris

Sadly, today is the day we bid adieu to Paris. On your final morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel before boarding a coach for a comfortable transfer to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

On your journey, you might catch glimpses of familiar landmarks like the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe, giving you time to reflect on the wonderful and unique experiences you’ve had on this trip with Laura and your fellow travelers.

A group airport transfer to our accommodation is included. Once the trip is confirmed, you will have the opportunity to plan and coordinate your arrival flights into Paris with the group.
