Heyy I’m Sam! A spontaneous, adventure-chasing 25 year old, with a slight (okay, major) obsession with experiencing the world. Solo travel has always been my thing, but after going on my first group trip, everything changed. I knew I had to create this kind of opportunity for you – for the dreamers who crave travel but might not be quite ready to do it alone. So here we are… my very first group trip is now LIVE and we’re heading to COSTA RICA! I am SO excited to bring this itinerary to life and seriously cannot wait to meet you all!

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in San José

Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport, take the hotel’s complimentary shuttle to your accommodation. The Hampton by Hilton San José Airport offers a relaxing start to your journey with modern, soundproof rooms, air conditioning, a mini fridge, and high-speed internet. The hotel also features a fitness centre, outdoor pool, and 24-hour coffee station. Spend the evening settling in and getting ready for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 Coffee Tour & Poás Volcano

Travel to the lush Arenal region with a scenic drive and cultural stops en route. Start your day with a guided tour of Hacienda Doka, home to Costa Rica’s oldest wet mill and recognised by UNESCO. Learn about the entire coffee-making process from bean to cup and enjoy unlimited tastings. Afterwards, explore a local butterfly house, bonsai garden, and hydroponic orchard. The experience continues with a hands-on farm tour where you’ll pick fresh produce and try traditional cane juice made in an artisanal trapiche. At La Guaria Morada restaurant, take part in a typical Costa Rican cooking class and share a lively dinner with a local farming family, complete with traditional music and dance.

Day 3 La Fortuna Waterfall & Arenal Volcano

Begin with a guided hike to the base of La Fortuna Waterfall, a 70-metre cascade nestled in the rainforest. Cool off with a swim in the natural pool before heading to the Arenal 1968 Mirador. This viewpoint offers sweeping panoramas of the iconic volcano and lava flows from the 1968 eruption. In the evening, relax at Paradise Hot Springs Resort and unwind in the thermal pools surrounded by tropical gardens before enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 4 Transfer to Manuel Antonio via Tarcoles Bridge

Depart the Arenal region and head to the Pacific coast. Stop at the Tarcoles River Bridge to view crocodiles basking in the sun below. Continue to Manuel Antonio, known for its pristine beaches and vibrant wildlife. After checking in to your hotel, enjoy a free afternoon or opt for the Vista Los Sueños Canopy Tour – a thrilling zip-lining experience featuring 12 platforms, scenic views of Herradura Bay, and potential wildlife sightings. The tour includes a tractor ride to the top, safety briefing, and refreshments.

Day 5 Free Day in Manuel Antonio

Enjoy a full free day in this coastal paradise. Relax on the beach, take a surf lesson, or join one of several optional excursions. A popular choice is the 5-hour catamaran tour from Quepos, which includes scenic cruising, wildlife spotting, snorkeling, swimming, and a BBQ lunch onboard. The tour offers a fun and relaxing way to experience the region’s coastal beauty.

Day 6 Manuel Antonio National Park & Return to San José

Visit Manuel Antonio National Park, one of Costa Rica’s most famous natural attractions. Walk its lush trails, spot wildlife like sloths and monkeys, and enjoy time on the park’s beautiful white-sand beaches. In the afternoon, return to San José and settle in near the airport for your final night.

Day 7 Departure from San José

Our San José hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Information on how to utilise this will be provided once the trip is confirmed.
