Du bevæger dig fra introduktion til udstyr og dit allerførste Try Dive i lagunen til fuld Open Water-certificering, hvor du gennemfører øvelser i lukket vand og tager fire open water dyk på de farverige rev i North Ari Atoll. This 12 day island expedition is your gateway into the underwater world of the Maldives, hosted by Lykke and Rasmus alongside the expert team at Big Blue Divers. Based at Club Gabbiano in Rasdhoo, the journey blends structured PADI Open Water training with authentic Maldivian island life, creating an experience that is equal parts skill building, adventure and connection.
You’ll progress from equipment orientation and your very first Try Dive in the lagoon through to full Open Water certification, completing confined water sessions and four open water dives on vibrant North Ari Atoll reefs. Along the way, the adventure expands beyond the classroom with dolphin sunset cruises, optional big marine life excursions in search of nurse sharks, manta rays and whale sharks, and unforgettable reef explorations.
But this trip is about more than diving. It’s about community and culture. You’ll join locals for evening sports sessions, wander Rasdhoo on guided island walks, picnic on a remote sandbank surrounded by turquoise water, and head out on a traditional sunset fishing trip that culminates in a fresh catch farewell feast on the beach.

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival In Rasdhoo & Island Welcome
Touch down in the Maldives and meet your group for the speedboat transfer to Rasdhoo. As you approach the island, turquoise water and palm-lined shores set the tone for the adventure ahead.
After check-in, gather for a relaxed welcome dinner where you’ll meet the Big Blue Divers team, your hosts, and fellow travellers. It’s your first taste of island life and the start of new dive friendships.

Day 2 Orientation, Snorkelling & Equipment Fitting
Ease into island rhythms with a guided snorkelling session in the lagoon, building comfort in the water while spotting reef fish just metres from shore.
Later, explore Rasdhoo on a local island walk before completing your professional dive equipment fitting, ensuring everything is perfectly tailored for the days ahead.

Day 3 Try Dive & Dolphin Sunset Cruise
Today you take your first breath underwater. During your supervised Try Dive, experience the surreal calm of the lagoon as colourful reef life moves around you.
In the late afternoon, board a traditional boat for a sunset dolphin cruise. Watch playful pods surf the bow waves as the sky turns gold over the Indian Ocean.

ARRIVAL:
You will need to make sure your travel plans allow you to arrive at the meeting point by the scheduled guest meeting time. More information on this will be provided once the trip is confirmed. Your arrival airport is Velana International Airport (MLE).
DEPARTURE:
On the final day, you are free to depart at any time. Your departure airport is Velana International Airport (MLE).
AIRPORT TRANSFERS:
Airport transfers to/from Rasdhoo are included as part of this trip, however if your arrival and departure dates do not align with the start and finish of the trip then you may need to make your own arrangements. More specific information on the included transfers will be provided once the trip is confirmed.
ADDITIONAL NIGHTS ACCOMMODATION:
