Itinerary
Day 1 Santorini – Ios
Welcome to Greece! Meet your skipper and fellow travelers at Café Spartakos in Athinios Port at 1pm. From there, take a private boat transfer to the island of Thirasia, where you’ll board the yacht that will be your home for the next 7 nights. The skipper will collect a trip kitty and discuss shopping for supplies. If you have any dietary requirements, please notify us when booking so we can accommodate your needs.
Consider arriving a few days early to explore Santorini’s stunning caldera. Visit the restaurants, shops, and bars in Fira, and take a walk along the caldera’s rim to Firostefani, Imerovigli, and Oia, especially at sunset. Don’t miss Santorini’s unique volcanic beaches, such as Red Beach and the black beaches of Perissa, Vlhada, Perivolos, and Agios Georgios. Also worth visiting are the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral, Catholic Cathedral, Dominican Convent, and Megaron Gyzi Museum.
After the welcome meeting, set sail for Ios (approximately 4 hours), stopping at Manganari Beach along the way. Explore the shops, restaurants, and bars in Hora, and visit Panagia Gremiotissa (Church of the Virgin) for beautiful sunset views from a hilltop.
Accommodation:
Overnight on the boat (1 night)
Meals:
No meals included today
Special Information:
Your skipper will collect a trip kitty of EUR 100 at the pre-departure meeting. If arriving today, allow at least 1 hour to travel from Santorini Airport to Athinios Port. The itinerary may change due to weather conditions or other factors. Depending on conditions, we may cross to Ios by ferry, giving you more time to explore the island.
Days 2-6 Sailing the Greek Islands
Small Cyclades
Sail to the Small Cyclades (approximately 3 hours). These islands, once home to pirates and goats, now have only a few permanent residents. Explore Koufonisia, Iraklia, Schinousa, and Donousa, with their clear waters, great beaches, and quaint fishing villages. Enjoy fresh seafood in a waterfront taverna.
Amorgos
Continue to the rugged island of Amorgos, famous for its role in Luc Bresson’s film “The Big Blue.” Visit Katapola, the island’s main port, and explore its Cycladic architecture, windmills, and old Venetian castle. Visit the ancient Minoan Settlement and the village of Hora with its narrow stone lanes and Byzantine churches. Don’t miss the spectacular 11th-century Monastery of Hozoviotissis. Spend another night in the Small Cyclades on the way to Naxos.
Naxos
Discover Naxos with its beautiful beaches, charming villages, and fragrant olive groves. Explore the old town areas of Hora, visit the Venetian Kastro, the Roman Catholic Cathedral, and the Archaeological Museum. See the massive Portara and consider a countryside tour to see local rural life, ancient temples, and enjoy lunch at a family tavern.
Syros
Sail to Syros (approximately 4 hours), stopping at the Bay of Gaidharos for a swim. Explore Ano Syros with its fortress-like village and narrow alleyways, and visit the capital, Ermoupoli, known for its neo-classical architecture and vibrant culture.
Accommodation:
Overnight on the boat (5 nights)
Meals:

Days 7-8 Mykonos
Set sail for Mykonos (approximately 3 hours) and arrive in the late afternoon. Enjoy your final evening on this vibrant island with its white-washed architecture, narrow streets, and bustling nightlife. Relax on the beaches, visit the sacred island of Delos, or enjoy a cocktail in Little Venice. Explore the Church of Panagia Paraportiani.
We’ll depart the boat at 10 am on the final day. Some guests may want to continue their adventure and consider booking an extra night in Mykonos to fully explore the island. Swap stories, share memories from your amazing adventure, trade social handles, and wish each other a fond farewell and a “see you soon”!
