South Africa Safari & Adventure – 12 Days
South Africa is calling, and it’s promising the adventure of a lifetime! Picture yourself surrounded by jaw-dropping landscapes, vibrant cultures, and wildlife straight out of a nature documentary. This 12-day thrill ride is packed with everything that makes South Africa amazing. Whether you’re cruising through golden savannas in search of lions, rhinos, and elephants, or chilling in a Zulu community soaking up their rich traditions, every day is a new chapter in your epic South African story. And guess what? You’ll be doing it all with a crew of new friends and a group leader who knows all the insider spots.
Kick things off by diving deep into South Africa’s history in the lively township of Soweto—where the past meets the present in the coolest ways. Then, get ready to check off a major bucket list item with a safari in Kruger National Park, where spotting the Big Five is just another day in the office. But it doesn’t stop there. You’ll get a taste of authentic local life with a stay in a traditional Zulu village, learning their dances, stories, and maybe even trying some of their food (trust us, it’s all part of the adventure!).
Finally, the journey ends in the cosmopolitan buzz of Cape Town, where the views from Table Mountain will have you snapping pics left and right. And just when you think it can’t get any better, you’ll head out to the coast for a close encounter with wild seals—because why not? Itinerary
Day 1 Welcome to South Africa!
Welcome to Johannesburg! After you touch down, we’ll be there to greet you at the airport and whisk you away to our accommodation. You’ll have some time to unwind, settle in, and perhaps explore your new surroundings before meeting up with your fellow travelers. In the evening, get ready to connect with your new group of mates and start building excitement for the adventures that lie ahead.
Day 2 Exploring Jo'burg
This morning we’re off to explore Soweto, one of the most historically rich areas of Johannesburg. We’ll dive deep into the tumultuous history of South Africa, visiting significant sites such as the Apartheid Museum or Mandela’s House, depending on availability. After a day of reflection and learning, we’ll shift gears in the evening, heading out to some of the best local spots for drinks, soaking in the lively atmosphere of Johannesburg’s nightlife.
Day 3 Graskop via the Panorama Route
We’ll hit the road early, heading towards the iconic Kruger National Park. Our journey takes us along the stunning Panorama Route, where we’ll be treated to some of Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes, including the famous Blyde River Canyon. After a day of scenic drives and photo opportunities, we’ll arrive at our accommodation, where you can rest up for the wildlife adventures to come.

Important Notes
ARRIVAL INFORMATION
Your South Africa adventure kicks off in Johannesburg, so it’s best to arrive on the start date of the trip, or earlier. There are no scheduled activities on the first day, meaning you can arrive at any time that suits you. If you decide to come in early, no worries – we’ll still be there to pick you up from the airport if you’re staying at our recommended accommodation. Keep in mind that check-in starts at 2pm.
AFTER THE TRIP
Your adventure wraps up in the vibrant city of Cape Town, which conveniently has its own international airport. If you’re heading straight home after the trip, we recommend flying out of Cape Town International Airport. Ideally, book your flights into Johannesburg and out of Cape Town for the smoothest travel experience. If you need to return to Johannesburg, you’ll need to catch a 2-hour flight from Cape Town to O.R. Tambo International. To play it safe, we suggest booking any onward flights from Johannesburg for after 3pm on Day 12. Your group leader will be happy to help you with any other travel plans within South Africa.
VISAS
If you’re a passport holder from the UK, Australia, Canada, Denmark, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Finland, or a few other select countries, you won’t need a visa for stays in South Africa of 90 days or less. For everyone else, a Visitor’s Visa is required, so it’s a good idea to double-check the latest travel advice from your government before you go.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is compulsory, and you will be asked to provide proof of your cover before your trip begins.
