Welcome to Egypt! You’ll be greeted at the aiport and transferred to our first hotel. Here we’ll have an informal meeting with the whole group to discuss the adventure we are about to have.

Afterwards you’ll have some free time to explore Cairo and find a beautiful little local restaurant to get your first taste of Egyptian cuisine.

Your day in Cairo begins with a delightful breakfast at the hotel, fueling you for an extraordinary adventure. Join our expert guide for a tour of the awe-inspiring Giza Pyramids and enigmatic Sphinx. The Great Pyramid of Khufu, a 4,500-year-old marvel, stands as the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, a testament to the ingenuity of the Old Kingdom. Nearby, the Pyramid of Khafre and Pyramid of Menkaure add to the enigma.

We then journey to Sakkara to explore the Pyramid of Djoser, a precursor to the Giza Pyramids, and marvel at the revolutionary Step Pyramid, a 4,700-year-old architectural masterpiece.

As the sun sets, we board a comfortable sleeper train, setting off for Aswan. This itinerary promises a day rich in history and culture, culminating in a night journey towards the serene beauty of Aswan.

Awake in Aswan, where an exciting city tour awaits with your knowledgeable local guide. Explore the Unfinished Obelisk, offering insight into the remarkable techniques employed to craft the iconic four-sided monuments adorning Egyptian temple entrances. Wander along the 42-meter-long granite bed and absorb its historical significance from your guide. Next, journey to the enchanting Philae Temple, a tribute to the goddess Isis, revered as the divine mother of the pharaohs. Perched on an island in the midst of the Nile, it’s a sight to behold. Finally, check in at the hotel with the option to partake in a traditional Nubian dinner later in the evening.

Enjoy a day at your leisure to explore Aswan and the banks of the Nile. In the afternoon we’ll have an optional tour to the World Heritage listed Abu Simbel.

Embark on a serene Nile adventure as we board a traditional felucca. Drift along the river’s gentle currents to explore Elephantine Island, an ancient and historically rich site. Then, marvel at the lush botanical wonders of Kitchener’s Island, home to a stunning garden. After this tranquil journey, you have the rest of the day to explore Aswan at your own pace. Discover its vibrant markets, uncover Nubian culture, or simply relax and soak in the city’s unique charm. Your day in Aswan offers a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration.

After rejoining our coach, we head north towards Kom Ombo. There, we’ll explore the fascinating Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Our next destination is Edfu, known for its exceptionally well-preserved temple honoring the falcon god Horus. This remarkable temple took over 180 years to build, from 237 BC to 57 BC. As the day winds down, we reach Luxor, where we’ll visit the Luxor Temple in the evening, delving into its ancient history dating back to the 14th century B.C., all under the enchanting veil of dim light.

Venture into the heart of ancient Egypt with a visit to the renowned Valley of the Kings. Explore the final resting place of pharaohs, where the magnificent tombs, like that of Tutankhamun, reveal remarkable treasures. Admire the grandeur of the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and the towering Colossi of Memnon. As the day concludes, board a comfortable sleeper train for a memorable journey back to Cairo.
