My name is Cigdem, and I am a doctor and psychiatrist currently residing in both Luxembourg and Germany. However, my journey began in Turkey, where I was born and raised, instilling in me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and global perspectives.
Living in a multicultural family and environment has had a profound impact on my life. It has fueled my insatiable curiosity to explore the world and immerse myself in different cultures. Traveling is not just a hobby for me; it is my greatest passion and a source of constant inspiration. There is something truly transformative about stepping out of my comfort zone, encountering new traditions, languages, and customs, and embracing the beauty of our diverse planet.
As a member of the esteemed travel community called “Doctors on Vacation,” I am fortunate to connect with fellow healthcare professionals who share the same adventurous spirit. Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive into Reykjavic, check into the hotel and explore the city
After your arrival at Reykjavík airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation in the city. We will discover the beauty of Reykjavik by taking a city tour and try traditional Icelandic cuisine at local restaurants. Our hotel is centrally located, and the rooms are suitable for double occupancy.
Day 2. The Famous Golden Circle
After breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on the famous Golden Circle tour, visiting Iceland’s most renowned places. Our first stop will be Þingvellir National Park, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and the birthplace of Iceland’s parliament. You will be mesmerized by the enchanting Þingvallavatn lake and the scenic landscape.
Next, we will visit the geothermal area of Geysir. Here, you can observe the powerful eruptions of the Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes. Nearby, you will find the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall, known as the “Golden Waterfall,” which cascades dramatically into a canyon.
Then, we will visit the Secret Lagoon, a natural hot spring located in the village of Flúðir. You can relax in its warm waters and enjoy the surrounding landscapes. We will spend the evening at our accommodation in Úthlid, where we will move into our cottages. Each cottage has four double bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a hot tub where you can relax in the thermal water. You can choose to cook your own meal or dine at the restaurant belonging to the cottages. (In the second tour we will go to our hotel in Golden circle area)
Day 3. Seljalandsfoss waterfall, Eyjafjallajökull volcano & more
You will explore the impressive landscapes of Southern Iceland. We will start our day by visiting the beautiful Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can actually walk behind the waterfall. Then, we will continue to the Eyjafjallajökull volcano, famous for its eruption in 2010, which disrupted air travel.
Our next stop will be the powerful Skógafoss waterfall. Here, you can admire the force of the waterfall and climb the nearby stairs for a panoramic view. Then, we will visit Dyrhólaey, which offers stunning views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs.
Lastly, we will complete our journey by visiting Reynisfjara, famous for its black sand beach. Take some time to explore the extraordinary scenery with its dramatic basalt columns and powerful waves. We will then proceed to our accommodation in Vík.

Cancellation of a confirmed trip 61+ days before the commencement of your trip, your deposit will be transferrable to another trip. If you cancel a confirmed trip 60 days or less before its commencement then payments will not be refundable.
