Lofoten Islands Norway Adventure with Ludovica

Our journey in Lofoten begins in the picturesque village of Ballstad. We’ll meet at Leknes Airport for a private transfer to our lovely accommodation, Hemmingodden. Once settled in, we’ll have a group meeting so that everybody can introduce themselves, and we’ll go over the itinerary to set the tone for the adventures ahead!

A delicious welcome dinner is included in the evening, but around that, the group might like to dive right in with a scenic hike to Ballstadheia. This accessible and stunning trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Important Notes:

We recommend arriving at Leknes Airport (LKN), just a short 20-minute drive from Ballstad. A single group airport transfer is included from this airport on Sunday August 18th 2024. Once the trip is confirmed, the group will be given an opportunity to coordinate their arrival flights to take advantage of this inclusion if they choose.

Today’s adventure starts with a hearty breakfast to prepare us for a day of exploration on Vestvågøya. Our first stop is the mesmerizing Rambergstranden, where we’ll be captivated by the golden sands and crystal-clear waters of the Norwegian Sea. It’s the perfect spot for photography enthusiasts to capture the serene beauty of the coastline.

Afterward, we’ll embark on a short but rewarding hike to Kvalvika Beach, hidden between towering cliffs. The rugged terrain offers breathtaking views of the turquoise waters and dramatic landscape, providing a tranquil escape from the world. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, there’s the optional hike to Ryten, where thrill-seekers can hang out on the edge of a cliff for an unparalleled view. It’s an experience not to be missed for those with a sense of adventure.

Today, we’ll start our adventure with breakfast, gearing up for exploration in Hamnøy and Nusfjord. Our goal? Photography. We’ll begin in Nusfjord, nestled among cliffs. Here, we’ll stroll through narrow streets lined with wooden houses, soaking in the village’s history. Don’t miss the chance to visit the Nusfjord General Store.

Then we’ll head to Hamnøy, famous for its fishing huts and calm harbor. As we wander, we’ll capture the charm of this coastal village, its colorful buildings mirrored in the water. Throughout the day, stunning mountain and fjord views will provide the perfect backdrop for our photographs. For those wanting more, we can arrange a tour to Bunesstranden, a pristine beach surrounded by peaks. Join us for a day of discovery in these captivating villages.

As the day winds down, we’ll head to the iconic Reine hike, where panoramic vistas of mountains and fjords await. It’s the perfect way to end our day of exploration in Lofoten, capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

With an early breakfast we begin our journey southward towards Å, an essential stop to experience the raw beauty of Lofoten. Then we will head north, on to Henningsvær. On our way here we’ll make a scenic detour at Uttakleiv and Hauklandstranda, where the stunning coastline offers breathtaking views.

We’ll make time to do the famous hike of Mannen at Haukeland, and for those not wanting to do the hike, it is also possible to go for a stroll from one beach to another. The viewpoint boasting panoramic vistas of the majestic mountains and fjords. Here you can also go for a swim, or just try the coffee at the delightful beachside coffee shop, perfect for a relaxing break and some tasty refreshments.

Enjoy the captivating landscapes of Lofoten on our travels, each stop revealing the unique charm and natural wonders of this extraordinary region, before arriving at Henningsvær and checking into our new accommodation at Tobiasbrygge. There may still be time for a quick explore of Henningsvær and Rørviksstranda, but we’ll also be doing plenty of that tomorrow!

On our first day in Henningsvær, we invite you to explore the charm of this coastal town and the beauty of Rørvikstrand. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach, visit the iconic football field, lighthouse, and Trevarefabrikken.

A must is to stop by Lysstøperiet for their iconic sunshine bun. At Lofotlys, discover how a local couple has turned sea urchins into a successful venture.

We’ll have the option of spending the rest of the day relaxing – perhaps at Rørvika Beach by the inlet of Henningsvær – or exploring.

Today, we set out on a remarkable water-based journey, immersing ourselves in the mesmerizing beauty of Lofoten’s coastal landscapes. Glide serenely through the crystal-clear waters aboard a kayak, surrendering to the enchanting allure of the surrounding scenery. As we navigate through the pristine fjords, let yourself be captivated by the rugged cliffs, hidden coves, and charming islets waiting to be explored.

Those keen on even more adventure have the option of a 4.5km hike up Fløya, a 580m peak towering over Svolvær, offering exhilarating views over the harbour and other surrounding fjords and peaks.

Lofoten offers so many amazing experiences. It’s likely that we will want to go to a place for a second time, go on a longer hike, or look at something we may have missed due to timing or weather conditions, or even look at some other places not already visited. Today we can decide, together with our knowledgeable local Lofoten guide.

A great idea for today would be to do the Festvågtind and Torske Tungen hike, a stunning hike that rises directly from the sea near Henningsvær, and one of the most popular hikes in Lofoten.

Afterwards, we have the option of visiting one of the many amazing local saunas – all of which have amazing views of the surrounding scenery.

The day will be concluded with a delicious included group dinner at Tobiasbrygge’s renowned restaurant and bar, where we can share stories and the amazing images and videos we’ve captured over the last week.

Today we bid farewell to Lofoten, and what will have no doubt been an absolutely unforgettable week exploring one of the most beautiful destinations on the planet.
