Sep 3, 2026 - Sep 10, 2026
Join Sara Caroline and Alex Spidle, alongside experienced local guides, for an unforgettable eight day journey through two completely different sides of Japan. This dual city adventure blends Okinawa’s tropical depth and layered history with Tokyo’s vibrant urban energy, creating a balanced experience of guided cultural discovery, meaningful reflection and personal exploration. Throughout the trip, Alex, a seasoned photographer, will be documenting our experiences together. By the end of the trip, you’ll receive a curated gallery of professional photographs to relive and share your experience for years to come.
Your journey begins in the Ryukyu Islands, where crystal clear “Kerama Blue” waters, limestone landscapes and powerful peace memorials shape your time in Okinawa. Snorkel and swim on day trips to Tokashiki and Zamami Islands, unwind on white sand beaches, and visit sites such as the Himeyuri Peace Museum and Peace Memorial Park to honour the region’s significant past. It is a place of both natural beauty and emotional depth, offering contrast in every sense.
Midway through the adventure, an included domestic flight transitions you seamlessly from subtropical calm to the neon lights of Tokyo. Here, guided touring and immersive neighbourhood experiences reveal the capital’s iconic districts, culinary energy and skyline views, before a grand farewell dinner brings the group together one final time. With experienced local guides throughout, this curated journey is designed to feel connected, cultural and unforgettable from island shores to city lights.

Sara Caroline
Hey, I’m Sara Caroline, but most people call me SarCar. I’m a San Diego based travel host, content creator, and founder of The Send Society, a global community built around connection, adventure, and saying yes to life. What began as sharing travel moments quickly became something bigger: helping people step outside their comfort zones, explore the world, and build real friendships along the way. I’ve traveled everywhere from Italy and Bali to Japan and Greece, and now I lead 9+ curated group trips designed for people who crave both adventure and depth. My goal is simple: arrive as strangers, leave as family. Travel has shaped my life, my career, and my purpose. If you’re ready to send it, I’d love to travel with you.
Alex Spidle
Hey! I’m Alex, a New York City-based photographer drawn to feminine, natural aesthetics and storytelling. My creative journey began in advertising, where I developed a strong eye for visual detail. But my heart always pulled me toward something more expressive and connected to nature. That calling led me to Hawai‘i, where I fully embraced art and transformed photography from a passion into my career. Today, I specialize in capturing genuine moments, the kind that feel effortless and deeply rooted in place. Travel is at the center of my life. Recent journeys have taken me to Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Italy, each destination shaping my perspective and deepening my appreciation for culture, landscape, and human connection. This past year, I hosted a trip to Thailand with my best friend, SarCar, for 20 people and provided professional photos for everyone who attended. Let’s travel together and create some beautiful memories!
Itinerary
Day 1 Welcome to Japan! Arrival in Okinawa
Touch down in Okinawa and feel the immediate shift in pace. Warm ocean air, swaying palms and a subtropical rhythm welcome you to Japan’s southernmost prefecture. Upon arrival at Naha Airport, those on the group transfer will be met and transferred to the hotel in the heart of Naha, your base for the next four nights.
This evening is intentionally relaxed. Step out into the vibrant streets, explore nearby Kokusai-dori, sample Okinawan specialties such as fresh seafood and goya champuru, or gather casually with your hosts, fellow travellers and local guide to begin building connections. The tone is easy, tropical and unhurried. There will be a welcome meeting in the evening.

Tokashiki is known for exceptional underwater visibility and vibrant coral reefs. Spend the day snorkeling in crystal clear waters with your included snorkeling experience, floating above colourful marine life, or simply relaxing on soft white sand beaches framed by forested hills. The atmosphere is peaceful and unspoiled, offering a true island escape. Return to Naha in the late afternoon with the evening free to enjoy at your own pace.
