It’s very important that you attend the welcome meeting at our hotel at 1pm. Given the early start to this trip, we highly recommend arriving in Istanbul a day early.

This morning, travel by private minivan to explore Ephesus – one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world. Once the capital of Roman Asia Minor, Ephesus comes to life with insights from a local guide. You’ll walk ancient streets lined with Roman baths, public toilets, and a medical center, and visit highlights like the grand theatre and the iconic Library of Celsus.

After the tour, enjoy a relaxed lunch and peek into the kitchen where local women prepare fresh, handmade gozleme. Later, you’ll have some free time before heading to Izmir to board an overnight train bound for the historic city of Konya.

Wake up in Konya, a city steeped in tradition and known for its connection to the whirling dervishes, a spiritual practice founded in the 13th century by Sufi mystic Celaleddin Rumi. Begin the day with a visit to the Mevlana Museum, then take some time to explore the town before heading toward Cappadocia. As you journey across the Anatolian plains, watch for the iconic fairy chimneys that define this surreal landscape.
