Itinerary

Day 1. Welcome to Iceland

Welcome to Reykjavík, Iceland. Today we will meet at the hotel in the afternoon to check-in and meet your group before having the remainder of the day to explore the capital of Iceland and enjoy a group dinner.

Overnight stay at Center Hotel Plaza or similar
Breakfast included.

Day 2. The iconic Golden Circle tour

The Golden Circle day tour is one of the most popular trips in Iceland, as it covers the most iconic and diverse attractions that the land of fire and ice has to offer. The Golden Circle in Iceland refers to the three primary sights along a 300 kilometer (186.4 miles) route, with many other delightful, smaller-scale attractions scattered in between. On our day tour, we will visit all of the main sights, and if time allows, we will make a few extra stops along the way, so you can see even more of Iceland. The historic Thingvellir National Park, the geothermal wonders of Geysir, the golden Gullfoss waterfall, and an additional stop at the Kerið Volcanic Crater Lake. It’s an exciting day packed with adventure!

Overnight stay at Hotel Stracta or similar
Breakfast included

Day 3. South Coast highlights and overnight stay near Jökulsárlón

The south coast of Iceland is home to numerous glaciers and volcanoes, black sand beaches and mossy lava fields, running rivers and icy lakes, and so much more. Famous for its diverse geographics and picturesque landscapes, joining a private tour is the optimal choice, especially for nature lovers and those who come to Iceland for vacation with friends and family, and those who love photography and films. On your private tour, your guide will share the history, local folklore, and fun facts that are valuable to see and understand Iceland in-depth.

The drive takes on Ring Road, so a scenic ride is guaranteed. Highlights include Skógafoss waterfall, Reynisfjara black sand beach, the village of Vík í Mýrdal, Reynisdrangar sea stacks and Seljalandsfoss Waterfall.

Overnight at Hotel Smyrlabjörg or similar
Breakfast included

Day 4. Skaftafell & Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon

The sheer force of nature has carved one of the outlet glaciers from the Vatnajokull ice cap, Iceland’s largest and Europe’s most voluminous glacier, and formed Jokulsarlon and Diamond Beach. The beach’s black-velvet-textured sand is scattered with big and small blocks of ice. Coming into existence in the 1970s, the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon and its vicinity became a symbol of Iceland’s pure and ever-changing nature.

On the way back west to the country, we will make several stops along the way, including the Svartifoss waterfall and the hidden gem Stjórnarfoss waterfall. An optional amphibian boat tour is available for an additional charge of around ISK 6300. This can be booked through your guide. Arrival to Reykjavík around 19:00.

Overnight at Center Hotel Plaza, Reykjavík or similar
Breakfast included

Day 5. Fond farewell

As our Icelandic adventure comes to an end, let’s cherish the memories of breathtaking landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and the warmth of newfound friendships. From the vibrant energy of Reykjavik to the serene beauty of the Golden Circle, Iceland has left an indelible mark on our hearts. Until we meet again, Iceland!
