This adventure through northern Vietnam takes you from the lively streets of Hanoi to the tranquil waters of Lan Ha Bay, across the ancient landscapes of Ninh Binh, and into the mountains of Pu Luong. Over nine days, you’ll explore temples, villages, caves, and hidden gems while experiencing the warmth and hospitality of the Vietnamese people.
The trip is hosted by Blake and Johane, who will be guiding you not only through Vietnam’s history and beauty, but also leading moments of reflection, worship, and prayer together with his co-host. Hey guys my name is Blake! Over the past 2 years I’ve done full time missions in over 28 countries. From earthquake ministry in Türkiye, to unreached ministry in Pakistan, and leading a group trip to Indonesia with 14 guests in March 2025, I’ve fallen in love with reaching the lost with the Gospel. If you are looking to be equipped in your missional call and stirred into deeper hunger to reach the searching in the nations, all the while getting to experience the beauty of a new country then this trip is for you.

Hey y’all! My name is Johané. I was born and raised in South Africa and now live in Texas, and there is truly nothing that compares to knowing Jesus and giving Him my all. Two years ago, I completed a missions school with YWAM, and ever since then, my heart for the nations and for people to know Jesus rightly has been burning brightly.
I’ve had the privilege of doing mission work in various countries across the world and co-leading Blake’s group trip to Indonesia in March 2025. I am deeply passionate about seeing people walk in the freedom that Jesus paid for and to know Him as He truly is. My heart is to see a generation equipped and empowered to live a life worthy of their calling. Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Hanoi
Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival in Hanoi, make your own way to the joining hotel (pre-booking link and instructions will be sent closer to departure). After settling in, you may want to take a relaxed walk through the neighborhood to get a first glimpse of the city’s character and energy.
As evening approaches, your first taste of Hanoi’s magic begins with a guided street food adventure. This introduction to the city’s fragrant flavors and local stories is the perfect way to start your journey and connect with the group.

Day 2 Lan Ha Bay Cruise
This morning, you’ll set off on a scenic drive from Hanoi to Halong International Port, where you’ll be welcomed aboard your cruise ship for a journey through the breathtaking Lan Ha Bay. As you sail between towering limestone karsts, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch inspired by local flavors.
The afternoon offers adventure with kayaking or a bamboo boat ride at Dark & Bright Cave, followed by time for swimming. Later, you can relax, join a cooking class, or take in the sunset from the sundeck before enjoying a set-menu dinner. In the evening, gather with Blake and Johane for a worship and prayer session on board.

Day 3 Explore Viet Hai Village and Ba Trai Dao Beach
Greet the day with a stunning sunrise from the sundeck before enjoying a light breakfast on board. You’ll then transfer to a day boat for an excursion to Viet Hai Village, a peaceful hamlet hidden amid dense jungle. Here, a cycling tour through lagoons and forest trails reveals the slower pace of rural life, with lunch at a local house included.
In the afternoon, cruise to Ba Trai Dao Beach, where you’ll have time to kayak and swim in crystal-clear waters. Returning to the main cruise, you can relax, join another cooking demonstration, or simply enjoy dinner and the tranquil evening atmosphere.
