Denise Brown
Based in Los Angeles, Denise is the creator of Tropical Seductions, an Instagram community rooted in a lifelong love for tropical plants, rainforests, and immersive nature travel. Visiting the rainforest was a childhood dream – one that became reality through years of connecting with the global plant community. What started with plants grew into hosting group trips designed for people who want to experience nature deeply, not from a distance.
This will be Denise’s 7th rainforest group trip, following journeys through Costa Rica, Ecuador, Bali, and Borneo. Each trip is centered on forests, rivers, waterfalls, wildlife, and the plants that thrive there.
Colombia has been one of the most requested destinations since 2023 and now it’s time to explore its rainforests together, with a special focus on aroids, orchids, and the landscapes they call home.

ℹ️ Important Notes – Río Claro Nature Reserve Accommodation
Río Claro Nature Reserve offers a comfortable, eco-focused stay immersed in the rainforest. Rooms have electricity, lighting, and power sockets for charging devices. Running hot water is not available for showers, however the warm jungle climate typically ranges from 73 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity, making cool showers refreshing for many guests.
WiFi is available, though the signal inside rooms can be limited. A stronger connection is accessible in the reception area. There is no lighting along pathways between reception and rooms, so a headlamp or flashlight is essential for moving around safely after dark.
Day 3 Río Claro Canyon Hike & Canopy Adventure
This morning is dedicated to exploring the heart of the Río Claro Nature Reserve on a guided canyon hike. As you follow winding trails, your guide will interpret the ancient marble formations and geological folds that tell the story of the region’s prehistoric past. Crystal-clear river water mirrors the surrounding greenery, creating a striking contrast against the white canyon walls.
In the afternoon, the adventure moves skyward with a thrilling canopy experience. Gliding through the treetops on a series of zip lines, you will cross directly above the river, enjoying sweeping views of the canyon and forest from a completely new perspective.
