You’ll start in vibrant Kathmandu before taking the scenic flight to Lukla, where the trek begins. From there, you’ll explore the Sagarmatha National Park, cross thrilling suspension bridges, and visit bustling towns like Namche Bazaar and Dingboche as you gradually ascend towards Everest Base Camp. Along the way, you’ll acclimatize with scenic hikes, enjoy local hospitality at cozy tea houses, and take in jaw-dropping views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and more.

Itinerary
Day 1 Welcome to Kathmandu!
Welcome to the heart of Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, make your way to the joining hotel in bustling Thamel. After checking in, you’ll have time to explore the colorful shops and buzzing streets filled with trekking gear, local crafts, and cozy cafés. In the evening, gather with your fellow trekkers for a welcome dinner and pre-trip briefing with your trek leader – get excited, the adventure begins tomorrow!

Day 2 Kathmandu to Lukla → Trek to Phakding (2610 m)
Start your morning with a thrilling flight to Lukla (2840 m), a tiny mountaintop airport and the official gateway to Everest. After meeting your local trekking crew, begin your journey by descending toward the Dudh Koshi River. Walk through charming Sherpa villages and across swinging suspension bridges until you reach the peaceful riverside town of Phakding.

Day 3 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
Today’s trek is a big one! Follow the Dudh Koshi upstream through pine forests and pass several suspension bridges – one of them famously high and dramatic. Enter Sagarmatha National Park and begin the long climb to Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa hub perched high above the valley.

PHYSICAL FITNESS:
The Everest Base Camp trek is generally rated as a moderately difficult trek, though it’s considered a challenging experience due to the altitude, physical demands, and potential for altitude sickness. However, with proper preparation, training, and a good guide, it’s achievable for many fit individuals. Your hosts have completed this trek before, so please reach out to them directly if you have any questions about the level of fitness required.
ARRIVAL:
The meeting point for this trip on day 1 is our hotel in Kathmandu. Please ensure that your flights allow you to arrive by early-mid afternoon. Note that airport transfers are not included. Your arrival airport is Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (KTM).
DEPARTURE:
On the final day, you are free to depart at any time. Your departure airport is Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (KTM).

LUGGAGE:
Each day, one piece of luggage per person will be transferred between accommodations. This must be a soft duffle-style bag weighing no more than 12kg. During the hike, you’ll only need to carry a daypack of around 30L with your daily essentials.
