We’re thrilled to offer this unique and exclusive content creator trip to Indonesia’s stunning Komodo Islands in partnership with Sail Papiton, and hosted by Rob Embury.
This trip is an immersive 5-day liveaboard adventure from March 24-28 2024, exploring the mesmerising Komodo Islands aboard the luxury Phinisi boat, Papiton Lopi. Departing Labuan Bajo, we’ll hit up the best spots this seen-to-be-believed region has to offer including Rinca Island, Padar Island, Komodo Island, Gili Lawa, Manta Point, Turtle Point, Pink Beach, sunset at Kalong (Bat) Island and much more. Rugged landscapes, underwater havens teeming with sealife and corals, and wildlife (including the amazing Komodo Dragons) abound in this incredible archipelago that many dub a real-life Jurassic Park.
There are endless opportunities for both land-based and underwater content creation, and for guests to collaborate and share their skills with each other. All meals on board Papiton Lopi are included. The exact course/itinerary can be customised, and will be finalised by the creator crew once confirmed.

Hey, I’m Rob! I’m a travel, landscape, weather and nature photographer based in Melbourne, Australia. I love exploring wild and wonderful destinations, and seeking out the best way to capture them and share them with the world. My goal in photography is to capture scenes that inspire people to witness something they haven’t seen or noticed before.
I’ve run both local and international group photography workshops and tours, and I get a huge buzz from showing people amazing places, and sharing in the excitement when I’ve been able to help somebody learn a new skill or capture something special. My main passion is the sky – from astrophotography, to chasing sunrises and sunsets, to chasing storms, which has seen me head over to the USA’s famed Tornado Alley a handful of times to hunt and photograph the biggest and baddest storms on the planet.
I’m very much looking forward to connecting with creators and explorers, and to hitting up a bunch of beautiful and bucket-list destinations with you! ✌️🌩️📸

Important Notes
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Travel insurance is required.
FLYING A DRONE:
Being aware of local drone flying laws are your responsibility. If you wish to fly a drone at Padar Island, there is a fee that you will need to pay in local currency (IDR) prior to boarding at Labuan Bajo.
KOMODO ISLANDS NATIONAL PARK FEE:
The Komodo Islands NP is not included. The cost for this will be finalised when the itinerary is finalised. It needs to be paid in local currency (IDR) at the harbour when boarding the boat. Guests will be advised of the price before arrival.
ARRIVAL:
Our boat leaves Labuan Bajo in the morning, meaning that will need to fly in a day early (Saturday March 23rd). Accommodation on nights before/after the trip are not included in the price. Transfers from your hotel are included.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Be sure to check entry requirements based on the passport that you will be travelling with.
TRIP CONFIRMATION:
A trip is listed as PENDING until the minimum guest numbers are reached, at which point the trip becomes CONFIRMED. Guests will be notified when a trip becomes CONFIRMED.
BOOKING FLIGHTS:
We do not recommend booking flights until your trip is CONFIRMED.
CANCELLATIONS:
If you cancel a PENDING trip, your deposit will be fully refundable. If you cancel your booking for a CONFIRMED trip, some fees may apply.
Cancellation of a CONFIRMED trip 61+ days before the commencement of your trip, your deposit will be transferrable to another trip. If you cancel a CONFIRMED trip 60 days or less before its commencement then payments will not be refundable.
