Overview
Immerse yourself in one of the best snorkel destinations on the Great Barrier Reef, with guided snorkel tours with experienced guides. Stay at an award-winning ecologically sustainable hotel located on the GBR a ‘Green Zone’ – the coral cay is a sanctuary for over 1,200 species of marine life and is known for its abundance of manta rays, turtles, amazing array of spectacular marine life and unspoilt coral reef. We’ll be visiting at the perfect time to also experience humpback whales. Enjoy optional photo workshops to capture the incredible marine life and scenery. Em Hanney & Alex Kydd
Meet Alex and Emma, two talented photographers and world travelers. With a combined background in Environmental Science and both PADI Divemasters, they bring a unique perspective to their work showcasing the natural world. Alex is a highly accomplished photographer, winning various awards for his photography work. His extensive experience and creative eye continues to capture nature in an awe-inspiring way. Emma has a wealth of experience working with clients to bring their visions to life through her photography.
They are both passionate about sharing their love of nature, and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the ocean. With them leading the way, you’ll be able to explore Lady Elliot Island and the Southern Great Barrier Reef whilst creating memories of a lifetime and sparking some long-lasting friendships.

Itinerary
Day 1. Scenic flight from Hervey Bay, Gold Coast or Brisbane
Embark on a scenic flight from Hervey Bay, Gold Coast or Brisbane to Lady Elliot Island, where you’ll meet your hosts, Alex and Emma. Upon arrival, settle into your room before venturing out for an afternoon snorkel to discover the island’s stunning house reef. Finish off the day with dinner at the Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort’s restaurant.
Day 2. Explore the Great Barrier Reef & private boat tour
Rise and shine for a sunrise snorkel with Alex and Emma, where you’ll explore the beauty of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Afterward, fuel up with a delicious breakfast and there will be an optional photography workshop. After lunch, join a private boat trip to explore more of the island’s natural wonders. End the day with a sunset walk around the island and dinner at the resort.
Day 3. Great Barrier Reef and Photography Workshop
Another day in paradise begins with a sunrise snorkel to explore the breathtaking Southern Great Barrier Reef. After breakfast, enjoy some free time or join a photography workshop. In the afternoon, snorkel in the lagoon or house reef before another delightful dinner at the resort.
