Oregon Coast Antique & Thrift Women’s Retreat with Laura Caldwell

Our Oregon coast adventure begins at our hotel, with a brief welcome meeting at 6pm. We then have a short walk before we kick things off with a lively dinner at Little Conejo, a locally loved taqueria serving elevated Mexican fare in a fun, modern setting. Expect fresh ingredients, craft cocktails, and vibrant flavors to set the tone for the trip.

We are straight into it today with an early start! Enjoy a complimentary hotel breakfast, then head off at 7:00 am to the Rose City Vintage Market in Portland. Laura has organised a special entrance for the group, and then you will all be there ready for your “first pick” access when the market officially opens at 8:00 am.

Our time at this market is a four-hour treasure hunt through mid-century décor, vintage fashion, and rare collectibles. We’ll drop our goodies back at the hotel before free time for lunch near the hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy a curated thrift shopping tour in Vancouver, with guided transport to Laura’s favorite vintage and hidden gem shops.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before hitting the road for a scenic drive to Astoria – Oregon’s oldest city, nestled where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. Known for its rich maritime history and charming waterfront, Astoria offers a perfect blend of culture, character, and coastal beauty.

Spend the day strolling through historic downtown, with plenty of time to browse Laura’s favorite antique shops and quirky boutiques. Expect everything from vintage Americana to rare maritime relics and local artisan goods.

After lunch and a bit more exploring, we’ll continue south along the coast to Seaside, where you’ll check in at the Best Western Ocean View Resort – just steps from the beach.

The evening is yours to unwind. Enjoy dinner at your leisure (we’ll share some great local restaurant suggestions), then, if you’re up for it and if conditions allow, join the group for an optional beach fire under the stars – a cozy way to wrap up a full day of discovery and connection.

After breakfast, get ready for a full day of exploring the breathtaking Oregon Coast, where ancient forests meet wild shorelines. Led by our expert guides, you’ll visit scenic highlights including Ecola State Park, Oswald West, Cape Kiwanda, and the iconic Cannon Beach, with its world-famous Haystack Rock rising dramatically from the waves.

Along the way, we’ll make time for a beach walk to see Haystack Rock up close, and one of the day’s personal highlights – shopping at Laura’s favorite antique mall, Wheeler Station Antiques, a treasure trove of vintage finds and coastal charm.

For lunch, we’ll stop at Pelican Brewing Company in Cannon Beach – a perfect spot to unwind with ocean views and delicious local fare.

In the afternoon, enjoy more vintage shopping as we travel down scenic Highway 101, visiting coastal towns like Rockaway Beach and Pacific City with plenty of stops for coffee, snacks, and unique retro boutiques.

Wrap up the day in Seaside with dinner at your leisure along the lively boardwalk, and if you’re up for it, join us for an optional beach fire to toast a magical day on the coast.

After enjoying an included breakfast, we’ll pack our bags and say goodbye to Seaside as we begin our journey back down the Oregon Coast. Traveling by private coach, today is all about one last shopping spree and soaking up coastal charm before returning to Vancouver.

We’ll head straight to Lincoln City, home to a renowned outlet mall, quirky vintage shops, and Goodwill treasure hunting – a perfect blend of boutique and bargain finds for your final day.

After a satisfying few hours of retail therapy, we’ll make the 2-hour drive back to Vancouver, Washington, checking in once again at the Hilton Vancouver Washington.

This evening, we’ll gather for a special farewell dinner at WildFin American Grill, a waterfront favorite known for its fresh Pacific Northwest cuisine – the perfect place to toast new friendships and reflect on an incredible journey.
