Join host Nicole Hu for an unforgettable eight day journey through Tunisia, where ancient civilisations, Mediterranean charm and cinematic desert landscapes combine to create one of North Africa’s most captivating travel experiences. Beginning in the vibrant capital of Tunis, the adventure opens with a deep dive into the country’s rich cultural history as you wander the UNESCO listed Medina, explore the remarkable Roman mosaics of the Bardo Museum and uncover the legendary ruins of Carthage before visiting the iconic blue and white village of Sidi Bou Said overlooking the Mediterranean.

From the coast, the journey moves south through Tunisia’s historic heartland toward the dramatic desert landscapes of the interior. Along the way you will visit the sacred city of Kairouan and the breathtaking Roman amphitheatre of El Jem before arriving in the remarkable troglodyte region of Matmata, where homes are carved directly into the earth. These landscapes are also home to the famous Star Wars filming locations that brought the desert planet of Tatooine to life.

Throughout the journey you will encounter Tunisia’s rich cultural layers, from Roman engineering and Islamic heritage to the traditions of the indigenous Berber communities who continue to thrive in the desert. With time spent in coastal villages, ancient cities and cinematic landscapes, this immersive expedition offers a beautifully balanced introduction to the history, culture and natural beauty of Tunisia.

Upon arrival at Tunis–Carthage International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the capital. This evening, gather with your Host and fellow travellers for a welcome meeting followed by your first taste of Tunisian cuisine. It is the perfect moment to connect with the group, share your excitement for the journey ahead and begin immersing yourself in the flavours, culture and stories that will shape the days to come.

Later, visit the remarkable Bardo Museum, one of the most important museums in North Africa. One of the best preserved Roman arenas in the world, it once held up to 35,000 spectators and still evokes the scale and power of the Roman Empire.
