Leah Helmbrecht
Hi, my name is Leah, also known as @offtheclocknurse. My passion for travel began when I started working as a Travel Operating Room Nurse, moving to different states throughout the US every 13 weeks. I was allotted the time off and finances to take a month off in between contracts to solo explore different countries. Currently, I am working permanently in Colorado, USA, as a Forensic Nurse Examiner. My hope for hosting trips is to encourage others to break out of their comfort zone, embrace adventure, and learn about different cultures. Won’t you join me?

Day 1 Welcome to Zanzibar!
Jambo! Welcome to Zanzibar! Your adventure begins with a warm reception at the airport. After completing immigration and collecting your luggage, you’ll be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel on Zanzibar’s stunning Northeast Coast.
Known for its idyllic beaches, cobblestone streets, and aromatic bazaars, Zanzibar boasts a fascinating history, from slave traders to Arabian sultans. The iconic sight of traditional dhows gliding along the coast brings to mind the island’s rich past, including the days of Livingstone. Explore the vibrant heart of Zanzibar—Stone Town—on foot, where you’ll wander through bustling bazaars, mosques, palaces, and charming alleyways. Arriving at the northern beaches, you’ll be greeted by white sands and crystal-clear waters, offering a perfect introduction to the Indian Ocean.
