Join Josh Burkinshaw on an unforgettable liveaboard journey from Komodo to Lombok, where every stop is a chance to create, capture, and connect. Starting in Labuan Bajo, you’ll sail into the heart of Komodo National Park – home to turquoise bay and some of the most dramatic, lush and photogenic landscapes on earth. From sunrise on Padar Island’s legendary ridgelines to swimming with manta rays at Manta Point, this trip is designed to inspire your creativity at every turn.

Over seven days, you’ll explore a mix of iconic and off-the-radar spots, each with its own character and story to tell. Imagine filming the blush sands of Pink Beach, photographing prehistoric Komodo Dragons in the wild, or swimming alongside the gentle giants of the sea – whale sharks. Add in hidden gems like Satonda’s volcanic crater lake and the jungle waterfalls of Moio, and your camera roll will be bursting with epic content before you know it.

As the journey winds toward Lombok, the adventure continues with the lagoon blues of Namu and the sweeping 360-degree views from Kenawa’s grassy summit – the perfect finale to a creator’s trip of a lifetime. With Josh there to share his passion for content creation and storytelling, you’ll not only experience Indonesia’s most spectacular and unique seascapes, but also walk away with memories, skills, and content that truly captures the magic of Komodo to Lombok.

Day 2 Siaba, Manta Point & Taka Makassar

Your Komodo to Lombok adventure begins! We’ll be picked up by our friendly crew and transferred to the nearby harbour, where we will step aboard our beautiful floating home for the next 5 nights. Get settled and after a briefing from the team, we’ll be on our way across azure waters!

First stop is Siaba, where calm clear waters and coral gardens make for perfect turtle and other marine life encounters. At Manta Point, get ready for some of the most awe-inspiring content of the trip – giant manta rays soaring gracefully through the blue.

In the afternoon we’ll head to Taka Makassar, a dreamy sandbar that looks like it was specifically made for drone shots, with pastel skies and turquoise seas blending into one perfect frame. We’ll finish the day with a sunset from the boat at the magical Padar Island.

Activities

  • Snorkelling With Turtles at Siaba
  • Swimming With Manta Rays at Manta Point
  • Sandbar Content at Taka Makassar
  • Padar Island Sunset from Boat

Day 3 Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo & Gili Lawa

Wake up early for a sunrise hike on Padar Island, one of the most famous viewpoints in Indonesia. Watch the light slowly reveal this to-be-seen-to-be-believed landscape – a dream for sweeping panoramic shots and a scene you will not forget.

At Padar’s Pink Beach (on the other side of the island), capture the unique rose-coloured sands against some of the most aqua-blue water anywhere in the world. Later, set foot on Komodo Island to photograph the legendary Komodo dragons. End the day with a sunset hike at Gili Lawa – golden-hour light bouncing off coral seas, and a ridge line vista that will take your breath away.

Activities

  • Sunrise Trek & Photography at Padar Viewpoint
  • Snorkelling & Beach Time at Pink Beach
  • Guided Walk With Komodo Dragons
  • Sunset Hike at Gili Lawa

ℹ️ Important Note

  • We will not be flying drones at Padar Island and Gili Lawa, as the recently introduced drone licensing laws are extremely difficult to navigate for international tourists. If this changes, guests will be notified.

Day 4 Tanjung Meriam, Pink Beach & Pulau Ular Sape

This morning is all about wild landscapes at Tanjung Meriam – jagged cliffs against deep sapphire seas, perfect for cinematic shots.

A second Pink Beach visit gives you another chance to play with creative shots – including split-level ocean captures, relaxed portraits or top-down magic. The day ends at Pulau Ular Sape, where long sandbanks and calm seas set the stage for drone sweeps and golden-hour portraits.

Activities

  • Wild Landscapes at Tanjung Meriam
  • Snorkelling & Creative Content at Pink Beach
  • Golden Hour at Pulau Ular Sape

Day 5 Satonda & Doropeti Snorkelling

Satonda Island offers something different – a volcanic saltwater lake framed by lush greenery. The still reflections here are ideal for moody, symmetrical drone shots or wide landscapes.

Later, dive back into the reefs at Doropeti. This is your chance to experiment with underwater detail shots, colourful coral close-ups, underwater portraits or cinematic water-level footage that mixes sea and sky in one frame.

Activities

  • Photography & Exploration at Satonda Crater Lake
  • Snorkeling & Reef Shots at Doropeti

Day 6 Whale Sharks & Mata Jitu Moio

Get ready for one of the most epic wildlife encounters on earth – swimming alongside whale sharks, the world’s largest fish. Their sheer size and gentle movements make for jaw-dropping footage and unforgettable memories.

In the afternoon, head to Mata Jitu Waterfall on Moio Island. Cascading through rainforest, this spot is perfect for jungle portraits, long-exposure waterfall photography, and cinematic storytelling content.

Activities

  • Swimming with Whale Sharks
  • Jungle Exploration & Waterfall Photography at Mata Jitu

Day 7 Namu, Kenawa & Finish in Khayangan Lombok

Your last day brings two stunning islands to round out the trip. Namu is all about lagoons and laid-back vibes, while Kenawa Island is the perfect finale.

Hike Kenawa’s unique grassy hill for 360-degree views of rolling seas and islands. This is the ultimate group shot and farewell reel location. From here, we’ll sail to Khayangan Lombok, where the journey comes to a close.

We’ll farewell our amazing crew and be dropped to an agreed location, where guests can continue on with the next part of their journey.

Activities

  • Lagoon & Drone Shots at Namu
  • Hike & 360-Degree Views at Kenawa
  • Disembark at Khayangan Lombok
  • Drop-off at Agreed Location TBC
