This 15-day Annapurna Base Camp adventure is a breathtaking journey into the heart of the Himalayas, following one of Nepal’s most iconic trekking routes. Beginning in the vibrant streets of Kathmandu and the tranquil lakeside setting of Pokhara, the trail climbs steadily through terraced farmland, ancient rhododendron forests, stone staircases, and remote mountain villages before opening into the dramatic alpine amphitheatre of the Annapurna Sanctuary. Each day builds in scale and scenery, culminating at Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 m / 13,550 ft, surrounded by some of the highest peaks on Earth.
Along the way, you will witness sunrise over Dhaulagiri and Annapurna from Poon Hill, cross suspension bridges above glacial rivers, trek through bamboo-filled valleys, and stand face-to-face with Machhapuchhre, the sacred Fish Tail peak. The itinerary is carefully paced for acclimatisation and designed to balance challenge with recovery, including time to soak in natural hot springs and experience the warmth of traditional teahouse hospitality.
Your experience is hosted by Rebecca Walsh of Hike Like a Woman and supported by a dedicated all-female trekking crew, including one English-speaking female trek leader, assistant guides, and one female porter per trekker. All Annapurna Conservation Area Permit and TIMS trekking fees are included, ensuring a seamless experience from start to summit. Together, this expert team creates a safe, empowering, and deeply supportive environment, allowing you to focus fully on the trail, the mountains, and the extraordinary sense of accomplishment that comes with reaching the heart of the Himalayas.

Hike Like a Woman with Rebecca Walsh
Hi, I’m Rebecca. I’m a guide, ski instructor, Army Veteran, breast cancer survivor, mountain climber, and a big fan of adventure travel. I started Hike Like a Woman in 2014 because I wanted to smash barriers to entry into the outdoors and help women explore. So far, I’ve led over 50 group trips, from the Wyoming wilderness to the rugged Andes and the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. I’d love to have you join me on an adventure.
Itinerary
Day 1 Welcome to Kathmandu
Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Kathmandu is a vibrant mix of ancient temples, buzzing streets, incense, colour, and everyday life unfolding all at once.
At 2:00 PM, you’ll gather for a pre-trip briefing to meet your female trek leader, review the journey ahead, and check gear. The afternoon finishes with an orientation walk through the lively lanes of Thamel, followed by a traditional welcome dinner at Mahotsav Restaurant to enjoy your first authentic Nepali dal bhat.
