Portugal’s Camino de Santiago Coastal Walk with Hike Like a Woman
NEW dates added due to popular demand!
Sept 14-23 2027: ON SALE
Sept 26-Oct 5 2027: SOLD OUT
Step onto the legendary Portuguese Coastal Camino de Santiago with Rebecca Walsh of Hike Like a Woman, accompanied by experienced local guides who bring deep regional knowledge and on-trail support. This is a purposeful walking journey designed for women who crave challenge, connection, and the quiet power of moving through landscapes on foot.
From the rugged Atlantic coastline and sandy beaches of Baiona to Galicia’s lush vineyards and peaceful woodland paths, you will experience the full diversity of this remarkable region. Walk through estuaries and fishing villages, spend a restorative rest day exploring the beautifully preserved medieval old town of Pontevedra, and visit Padrón, steeped in the legend of St. James. In Caldas de Reis, pause in a town celebrated since Roman times for its healing thermal waters, a welcome reward for pilgrim legs. Throughout the journey, a support vehicle is available for shorter sections, allowing you to tailor daily distances while still sharing in the collective rhythm of the walk.
This is more than a hiking itinerary. It is a shared pilgrimage shaped by conversation, encouragement, and the simple ritual of collecting stamps along the way. The emotion builds with each step until you enter Obradoiro Square in Santiago de Compostela, receive your official Camino certificate, and celebrate together over a final group dinner. You arrive not only at a destination, but at a moment of pride, resilience, and lasting connection.

Hike Like a Woman with Rebecca Walsh
Hi, I’m Rebecca. I’m a guide, ski instructor, Army Veteran, breast cancer survivor, mountain climber, and a big fan of adventure travel. I started Hike Like a Woman in 2014 because I wanted to smash barriers to entry into the outdoors and help women explore. So far, I’ve led over 50 group trips, from the Wyoming wilderness to the rugged Andes and the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. I’d love to have you join me on an adventure.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Porto | Welcome and Pilgrim Briefing

In the evening, join Rebecca and your trek leader for a welcome dinner and pilgrimage briefing. Over local cuisine and Portuguese wine, you will receive an overview of the Camino ahead, what to expect on the trail, and practical tips to ensure you begin feeling confident and prepared.
