Welcome to my world of exploration and empowerment! I’m Kendell, (@kendell_explores), an adventurer with a passion for leading transformative retreats, consciously created to ignite the inner flame of every woman with a heart full of wanderlust.
In my journeys through more than 50 countries, I’ve come to understand that women crave more than just a temporary escape; they yearn for a sacred space to unravel the layers of societal conditioning, reconnect with their authentic essence, and emerge a little lighter-hearted.
Drawing from my background as a yoga teacher, nurse anesthetist, and experienced journey guide, I weave together the threads of adventure, healing, and spiritual awakening. Through immersion in nature-based wisdom, we walk a path where each moment invites you to embrace vulnerability, courage, and profound self-love.
Together, we create a sanctuary where women can shed the weight of expectations, embrace their unique gifts, and reclaim their inherent power. I’m truly excited to walk this path alongside you, as we discover, grow, and empower one another.

Important Notes
PHYSICAL FITNESS:
This trip involves trekking long distances at high altitudes. A moderate to high level of fitness is highly recommended to ensure that you are able to get the most out of the experience. Your host Kendell has completed this trek before, so please reach out to her directly if you have any questions about the level of fitness required.
ALTITUDE SICKNESS & ACCLIMATISATION:
As you prepare for the trek to the world-renowned Mount Everest Base Camp, keep in mind that the altitude exceeds 5,000 meters, where oxygen levels are lower. The decreased oxygen at higher elevations can make breathing more challenging. To minimize the risk of altitude-related issues like Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), it’s essential to acclimatise gradually by pacing yourself, taking frequent breaks, and staying hydrated. Our trekking company is equipped with a comprehensive medical kit that includes an Oximeter to measure your oxygen and pulse throughout the trek. We recommend completing a number of practice acclimatisation hikes prior to the trip. Your host Kendell will be able to help advise on the best way to do this.
DRINKING WATER:
It’s crucial to stay hydrated while trekking to Everest Base Camp by drinking enough purified water – aim for 3-4 liters daily. Avoid buying expensive bottled water ($1 to $5) to reduce waste and cost. Instead, carry a reusable water bottle and fill it at lodges along the way. Consider using an inbuilt filtration system like LifeStraw or Steripen, or use water purification tablets to treat the water for safe drinking. This approach helps minimize environmental impact and ensures you have access to clean water throughout your trek. A comprehensive guide and packing list will be provided well in advance of the the trip.
ARRIVAL:
An arrival airport transfer is included – we will coordinate this with you closer to the trip starting and once we have collated flight information. Your arrival airport is Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (KTM).
DEPARTURE:
On the final day, you are free to depart at any time. Your departure airport is Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu (KTM).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Be sure to check entry requirements based on the passport that you will be travelling with. You’ll still be able to stay in touch with loved ones, check important updates, and share your adventure on social media. Most lodges along the route offer Wi-Fi for an additional fee – typically through a paid hotspot system. For data, we recommend using an eSim.
