Some trails are better walked with company you can lean on. On this 11-day Portuguese Coastal Camino with Justine Shera, you’ll travel, walk, and celebrate alongside a group of women who become each other’s biggest cheerleaders, arriving in Santiago de Compostela having shared every step of something extraordinary.
Along the way, breathtaking Atlantic coastline gives way to peaceful forests, charming medieval towns, and centuries of history, all woven into one of Europe’s most rewarding hiking experiences. It’s built to be challenging and achievable in equal measure: with daily luggage transfers and a support vehicle available throughout, you can walk at your own pace while still taking in the Roman bridges, a well-earned rest day in Pontevedra, and the healing thermal springs of Caldas de Reis. It all builds to a single, defining moment: stepping into Obradoiro Square to receive your official Camino certificate.
Whether you’re ticking the Camino off your bucket list, chasing a personal challenge, or simply craving real connection in nature and in good company, this trip delivers exactly that. You’ll leave Santiago with sore feet, a full heart, lifelong friendships, and a genuine sense of achievement that stays with you long after you’re home.

My Balance Project with Justine Shera
Hi, I’m Justine from New Zealand, also known as @mybalanceproject. I started hosting women’s wellness adventures in 2024, and after 24 years in a full-time career, I left my job in 2025 to pursue this passion full-time. These trips are designed to inspire, relax, and create meaningful connections.
These journeys are more than travel. They are a chance to reconnect with yourself, explore new places, and build friendships that last a lifetime. Every trip is carefully curated to be welcoming, inclusive, and focused on experiences that help you slow down and enjoy the moment.
Whether we are exploring the rolling hills of Scotland, wandering Mediterranean towns, indulging in a wellness retreat in Bali, or discovering the sights and flavours of Vietnam, these adventures give you the space to unwind, try new things, and invest in yourself. I would love for you to join me and other like-minded women in creating unforgettable experiences and discovering a new side of yourself along the way.
Itinerary
Day 1 Touching Down in Porto
Your Camino adventure begins the moment you land. After settling into your group hotel in the heart of Porto, there’s nothing on the agenda but rest, unpacking, and getting your bearings in this river-cut, tile-covered city.
As evening falls, gather with Justine and your local guide for a welcome dinner that sets the tone for the days ahead. It’s part celebration, part briefing, a chance to meet the women you’ll be walking beside and get the lowdown on what’s in store.

Day 2 Wandering Porto's Old Streets
This morning belongs to Porto. A guided walking tour leads you through the UNESCO-listed historic centre, where every street corner seems to hold another story. You’ll marvel at the hand-painted tile panels inside São Bento Station before diving into the noise and colour of Bolhão Market.
From there, the tour sweeps down grand Avenida dos Aliados and into the Ribeira district, where sun-faded, rainbow-hued façades tumble down toward the Douro River. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop mid-step to take it all in, a perfect farewell to Porto before the Camino truly begins.

Day 3 Crossing into Spain
The Camino proper begins today with a comfortable private transfer across the border into Spain, arriving in the seaside town of Baiona. It’s a morning of anticipation, watching Portugal give way to Galicia through the window.
Once you arrive, ease into the journey with a short coastal warm-up walk, just enough to stretch your legs and get a feel for the trail. This is also where the ritual truly starts: your pilgrim passport, or credential, is issued, and you’ll collect your very first stamp.
