Katie Clark
Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a mom of three amazing adult kids, a Registered Nurse for 20 years, and a solo travel enthusiast turned group trip host and content creator.
After spending years working overtime in the ER and pouring everything into my family, I found myself burned out and craving more than just waiting for the next escape. So I made a bold decision: to stop living for vacations — and start building a life I didn’t want to escape from. I’ve been traveling solo off and on since I was 18, but in 2018, I planned my first group trip to Italy — and discovered a gift for creating meaningful, joy-filled itineraries that connect people and spark confidence.
Three years ago, I closed the chapter on a 23-year marriage, and since then, I’ve completely redefined my life on my terms. These days, I split my time between solo adventures and exploring the world with my fiancé — showing other midlife women (and men) that it’s never too late to chase your dreams, take that trip, and rediscover yourself along the way.
If you’re ready to reconnect with your joy, meet new friends, and travel like never before… I’ve got a spot for you. Life is short. Take the trip. ✈️

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Moshi
Your journey begins with your arrival in Tanzania. Upon landing at Kilimanjaro Airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to the vibrant town of Moshi, nestled at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. This welcoming town is full of life, color and charm – a great place to settle in before the safari begins. After a short briefing with your hosts, enjoy time to explore the local markets and craft shops or just relax and unwind after your travels.
Whether you take a stroll through town or sip a drink by the pool at your lodge, today is all about settling into the rhythm of Tanzanian life.

ADDITIONAL ZANZIBAR MANDATORY INBOUND TRAVEL INSURANCE
In Zanzibar, inbound travel insurance is mandatory for all non-resident travelers entering the island, starting from October 1, 2024. This requirement applies to foreigners, excluding Zanzibar residents, and is designed to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors. The insurance must be purchased from the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC). https://inbound.visitzanzibar.go.tz/. Note that this additional local requirement does not provide a level of overall coverage for your trip that we regard as being sufficient for most travelers, and therefore we highly recommend purchasing your own coverage as well.
